Snow Cab drivers great for transfers from Turin, even better for bike chat.
For the 2019-20 season we are betting on another good season, once again expanding our fleet. This means that not only can we get more of you into your ski resort in more comfort, we can also reach further into the alps than ever before with daily and weekly private transfers available from any regional airport to almost any ski resort in the alps.
What you might not know - event if you’re a winter season regular - is that the area is also a mecca for cyclists and they’ve been keeping Snow Cab busy all Summer. The village plays host to regular rounds of national downhill mountain biking competitions and our home Col Du Montgenevre itself has featured in the Tour De France no less than 10 times.
If you’re a Snow Cab customer and ever had a transfer into resort from Grenoble, Turin, Chambery or Geneva, chances are you might have met or remember, Andy.
Andy was one of professional drivers working with us for the last two seasons. He’s also an avid cyclist, and owns and runs Spoon Customs, his own handmade bike company started right here in Monty.
It wasn’t always this way however. Andy came to us after leaving London, with a long held dream to start a handmade bike company. He’d escaped the city for a quieter life, with his bicycle pipe dream in the back of his mind.
A couple of years later and we’re sorry to say he’s not joining us this year, but it’s not all bad news as that little pipe dream recently became reality. He stuck around after his first season, and set plans in motion, and since summer 2016 he’s been working on hard on Spoon Customs, which is fast establishing itself as one of the most exciting handmade custom bike brands in the world.
We’d like to think we’re a little bit responsible for his success because our tough employment practices clearly motivated him to run off and work for himself. To find out more about Andy and his new company, check out his instagram or website.
