Snow Cab: the transfers pros during the L’Étape and Tour de France 2022
As the world opens up again, we welcome the official announcement that the 109th Tour de France will take place from the 1st to 24th July 2022. We are even more happy to hear, pretty thrilled actually, that the route of La Grande Boucle, as it loops its way around France, will bring the race through the Hautes-Alpes region at stages 11 and 12, on the 13th and 14th July.
Transfer specialists
We are ready to transport not just participants and spectators but sports equipment too – and we are excited to be the local company operating across the region (since 2008) especially during this time. With a fleet of vehicles that can accommodate any number of passengers and paraphernalia, we are geared up to take you where you will need to go.
The fact that these crème de la crème tours are returning to the area is a big deal and most certainly will be one of the highlights of the race, historically and geographically. Officially, the stopover location for stage 11 and the start of stage 12 will be Briançon, in the South Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Not only will it be the highest finishing point of any stage since 1997, but it is also returning to Briançon 100 years after its very first inclusion on the tour’s route.
With the Tour de France comes the L’Étape du Tour de France, set to take the route of stage 12 of the Tour de France, ahead of the professionals, on the 10th July. The race, for the non-professional contenders will be from Briançon to Alpe d’Huez covering 170km, at dizzy heights. Riders will certainly get a feel for the absolute test on minds and bodies of the pros as this stage includes some of the most impressive and insane climbs that include Col du Galibier near Grenoble and Col de la Croix de Fer.
