Pragelato

Pragelato is the most recent resort to connect to the Vialattea. The name Pragelato, meaning "icy meadow", has been derived from the cold climate and the fact that the ground is covered with ice for longer periods than the other resorts.
It has a small ski area of about 50km of well groomed pistes and an extensive cross country area but, with the addition of the Pattemouche-Anfiteatro cable car, it connects directly to the Sestriere-Banchetta bowl and the fantastic runs Sestriere has to offer.
The off piste riding back to Pragelato is extremely challenging but exhilarating, however, it should only ever be attempted with a guide.
